Start Low, Go Slow
The golden rule of edibles is "start low, go slow." Edibles take significantly longer to take effect than other methods, and the experience lasts much longer. Taking too much because you "didn't feel anything" after 30 minutes is the most common mistake.
Wait at least 2 hours before considering a second dose. Many people make the mistake of re-dosing too early, leading to an unexpectedly intense experience.
Dose Ranges & Expected Effects
Individual responses vary significantly based on body weight, tolerance, metabolism, and whether you've eaten recently. These ranges are general guidelines, not guarantees.

If you have never consumed edibles before, start with 2.5โ5 mg. You can always take more next time, but you cannot un-take a dose.
Why Edibles Hit Differently
When you consume an edible, the active compounds pass through your digestive system and are processed by the liver before entering the bloodstream. This is called "first-pass metabolism." The liver converts some compounds into different metabolites that can be significantly more potent than the original form.
This is why edibles feel qualitatively different โ not just stronger, but a different character of experience. The liver-processed metabolites cross the blood-brain barrier more effectively and bind to receptors differently than compounds absorbed through the lungs.

Block out at least 6-8 hours with no obligations when trying a new dose. Do not drive or operate machinery during this time.
What to Do If You Take Too Much
While extremely uncomfortable, consuming too much is not medically dangerous for otherwise healthy adults. No fatal overdose from edibles alone has ever been documented. However, the experience can be intensely unpleasant.
