Ingredients

  • ½ cup (120ml) fruit juice (any flavour)
  • 2 tbsp unflavoured gelatin powder
  • 2 tbsp cannabis tincture or cannabis-infused MCT oil
  • 1–2 tbsp honey or sugar (to taste)
  • 1 tbsp sunflower lecithin (improves consistency and absorption)
  • Non-stick spray for molds

Instructions

  1. 1.Calculate first: Use BatchCraft to find mg per gummy before you mix anything.
  2. 2.Bloom gelatin: Sprinkle gelatin over juice in saucepan. Wait 5 min — do not stir.
  3. 3.Dissolve: Warm over low heat until gelatin dissolves. Do not boil. Cool to 130°F.
  4. 4.Add cannabis: Stir in tincture or oil + lecithin + sweetener. Mix thoroughly.
  5. 5.Fill molds: Use a dropper to fill silicone mold cavities evenly.
  6. 6.Set & label: Refrigerate 30–60 min. Label container with mg per gummy.

Consistency Tip

Always add lecithin and stir thoroughly right before pouring. Pour in one continuous motion without stopping. Any separation in the mixture = uneven gummies.

FAQ

How many mg of THC should I put in each gummy?

Legal market gummies are typically 5–10 mg per piece. For beginners, 2.5–5 mg per gummy is ideal. For experienced users, 10–25 mg. Calculate your total THC first using the BatchCraft calculator, then divide by the number of gummies in your batch.

Should I use tincture or oil for cannabis gummies?

Alcohol tincture mixes more easily into the juice base and distributes more evenly. Cannabis-infused MCT oil also works well with lecithin added as an emulsifier. Avoid thick coconut oil (solid at room temp) as it can create uneven spots in gummies.

Why are my cannabis gummies inconsistent in strength?

Uneven distribution is the most common cause. Always add lecithin to emulsify the oil, stir thoroughly before pouring, and pour quickly while the mixture is still warm and fully liquid. Fill each mold cavity from the same well-mixed batch without pausing.

How long do homemade cannabis gummies last?

Refrigerated in an airtight container: 2–3 weeks. Frozen: up to 3 months. At room temperature without preservatives they can grow mold within 5–7 days. Always store in the fridge and label with date and mg per piece.
